DUBLIN ABBEY is a folk-rock band with an innovative flare for lyrical and musical tapestry. Singer/songwriters Ricky Mangan, Emma Elder and Patrick O'Donin weave a tapestry of mesmerizing originals and crowd pleasing covers sure to please audiences. Accomplished violinist Nadia Hope and drummer Eric Brillhart join the mix to capture an artsy folk sound that transcends into a theatrical and entertaining folk-pop-rock performance. KNOWING DUBLIN ABBEY
DUBLIN ABBEY performs a versatile mix of originals, covers and time-honored traditional pieces, but at the heart of it, the members are storytellers. They reach deep into the archives or history and passionate emotion to weave lyrical narratives that both entrance and enchant... All amid an engaging theatrical show. The band has a unique array of influences. Emma comes from a Celtic session environment involving Sean Nos singing and dancing and has history as a professional ballerina and aerial dancer. Her dance experience definitely shows up in the band's performances. Patrick and Ricky come from rock and folk backgrounds and both have played with touring rock bands in the past. Nadia is an accomplished violinist from Ukraine where she played professionally with the Ukrainian Symphony Orchestra. Eric is the pulse of the band on drums and has played with numerous rock and funk acts including touring with the famed Drifters.
